What is TinyFish?

TinyFish is a developer platform for giving AI agents reliable access to the live web through Search, Fetch, Agent, and Browser APIs. Its Web Agent accepts natural-language goals, navigates dynamic or authenticated sites, performs multi-step actions, and returns structured results for downstream workflows. TinyFish's Mako model, introduced in July 2026 and now the default behind Web Agent, was purpose-built for live web operations and trained on production workflow data. The platform targets developers and teams building data extraction, monitoring, browser automation, research, QA, travel, retail, insurance, and other web-dependent systems. Its main differentiator is combining browser-rendered search and fetching, autonomous web execution, managed Chromium sessions, access handling, proxies, and developer integrations under one API key and credit system.

How to use TinyFish?

Step 1: Create a TinyFish account, generate an API key, and choose Search, Fetch, Agent, or Browser based on the task. Step 2: Send a query, URL, natural-language goal, or browser-session request through the REST API, SDK, CLI, MCP, or Playground and configure options such as structured output, proxies, or vault credentials when needed. Step 3: Use the returned search results, cleaned content, structured agent output, or CDP browser session in your application or automation workflow.

TinyFish's Core Features

  • Live Web Search: Retrieve fresh, structured search results from browser-rendered sources for monitoring, research, and agent workflows.

  • Browser-Rendered Fetch: Convert dynamic URLs into clean markdown, JSON, or HTML that is easier for models and pipelines to process.

  • Mako Web Agent: Execute natural-language, multi-step web tasks with a web-native model built to navigate live sites and return structured results.

  • Managed Browser API: Launch isolated cloud Chromium sessions and control them directly with Playwright, Puppeteer, or raw CDP.

  • Structured Output: Define machine-readable result schemas for supported Agent workflows so downstream systems receive predictable data.

  • Stealth Access Handling: Use modified Chromium and infrastructure-level anti-bot handling to improve access to protected commercial websites.

  • Proxy Routing: Route Agent runs through supported countries and use proxy infrastructure for geographically distributed browser access.

  • Vault Credentials: Connect 1Password or Bitwarden and scope credentials to individual runs for authenticated workflows without exposing passwords to the AI agent.

  • Multiple Execution Modes: Run Agent automations synchronously, asynchronously, or with server-sent-event streaming to fit different application patterns.

  • Developer Integrations: Connect through REST APIs, Python and TypeScript SDKs, CLI, MCP, n8n, Dify, and other agent or automation stacks.
